vacation time

hey everyone, the time has come for my vacation, YAY! We'll be gone until Dec 11th, so any orders placed between Nov 21st-Dec 11th will be shipped (first class) on Dec 15th. I just posted some more kitchen towels on our etsy shop and this time we have a different range of colors. If you get any by 8am (CA time) I'll make sure to ship them at 9am.

Here are some pics of what I've been up to lately, reason why I haven't updated this blog, but thanks to everyone for the custom orders.

Thanks to everyone for stopping by the sale this week. We sold out of the kitchen towels, but the good news is we'll probably be printing some more this week for those who emailed us. If you want anything at the shop that you don't see, feel free to drop us a line anytime.
A HUGE THANKS to decor8 and mixed plate for featuring us on Friday, I know that's what helped us (as always!) sell out. You're always so kind!

We've been making these prints printed on fabric, covered on canvas and they turned out really nice. I had some at our shows, but we never posted them at our shop until now.

And here's a pic of how the house looks right now. Pablo left to Bolivia until New Years and I realized I'm a disaster on my own when I work.

I'll be joining him for thanksgiving and I can't wait. I do need to cleanup like crazy before I leave though...sigh.

Capsule + Mafia Made shows

Finally got to post some pictures of our first shows in SF. We were SO LUCKY to find these panels for FREE on craigslist! Whoever posted them, you are our angel. We just painted them with hearts everywhere. Capsule was pretty amazing, great learning experience and a huge thanks to everyone that stopped by! It was really nice meeting some of you in person. Mafia Made Trunk Show was last Sunday and it also worked out so nice, the girls really made sure their vendors had everything they needed (even coffee and donuts!). It got really busy and it felt great when people walked up to our stand and we saw them smile or laugh about some of the prints. we're glad you enjoy them :)

Ben from Klaimco also posted some behind the scene pics of us before Capsule. He was kind enough to help out!

Goodies exchange, which is probably the most dangerous part of spending too much time at a show and looking at your neighbors items. we love these! Still can't remember the sketchbook vendor, but the headband is done by Cookie and The Dude.

We're in the middle of finishing up our kitchen towels, placemats and a few coasters. Here are some pictures of how the first color turned out last night and also of the sewing machine we found on the street on our walk home. We've been lucky lately! Having it has been amazing and Pablo's been sewing non-stop (I'm not so good at it yet). As usual we always end up printing in everything we can and this time we did 6 little cards with rounded corners that we had left over. enjoy.

Not sure if it's also in another country, but today is basically Valentine's Day in Bolivia (literally Day of Love and Friendship). I think we can't wait to visit in November, especially me (G) because I haven't been there in 3 YEARS. I'm so glad Janell is going with us! Anyways....

We are finally done with our latest prints! It had been a very long time since both of us did an all-nighter but we needed to finish these this weekend. I know how much all-nighters suck, but I forgot how awful you feel the next day! I can say it was worth it, because these holiday cards turned out really nice! 175 prints between friday night - sunday 1am, and you can find them all at our etsy. We also finished sewing the rabbit prints and we do hope everyone likes them. Did I say where the bunny came from? I should post a picture about that too. have a good sunday! (make it longggggg)

The "rope" is hand-sewn with hemp thread.

The bunny is giving out love. Pablo did a good job sewing it so it looks like it's floating in the front. (it's not flat)The picture doesn't do its justice.

We just finished printing this one and are super happy with the results. We need to add the sewn part to it, where the bunnies will be pulling something out from the hole.

Gocco on cloth

We tried printing on fabric with the gocco squeegee today. It was weird at first cause it's a little different than traditional silk-screening. Once we got it to the 45 angle, pressuring not to hard, and going slow it seemed to be better. And of course once we got it right, we started silk-screening on everything, but I'll probably hang the round one at my office. Our officials shirts are about to start!

Wedding Invites and RSVPs

We got to do our first gocco wedding invites! Thanks to Ammon and Laura (congrats!) who wanted us to gocco the 150 invites + rsvps, the editions turned out great! And seeing the house filled with all these was really exciting.
